Tysk korthåret pointerhund
Temperament
German Shorthaired Pointers have a kind and adaptable temperament. They make great companions who are friendly to those they meet and loving of family. They do best when training and socialisation begin in early puppyhood as this helps create a well rounded and respectful dog. Most important is that you give them plenty of daily exercise as these dogs have immense stamina and will not enjoy being couch potatoes.
Health Problems
Health problems that may affect German Shorthaired Pointers include canine hip dysplasia (CHD), elbow dysplasia, blood clotting disease, heart disease, cancer, hypothyroidism, bloat, allergies and eye diseases.
