Temperament
Ibizan Hounds have a quiet and polite temperament. They should be socialised early with children and other dogs to help them grow into calmer and more rounded adult dogs. It is difficult to trust an Ibizan Hound with smaller animals due to their high prey drive.
Regular and consistent training is important here as Ibizan Hounds are confident in themselves and you will need to prove you are ''pack leader'' to prevent them being disobedient.
Health Problems
Health problems that may affect Ibizan Hounds include allergies, epilepsy, cataracts, deafness and axonal dystrophy (brain disease).
